Simple on purpose
No branded system, no secret exercise. A few movements you repeat, make harder over time, and write down — the app just does the writing down for you.
Build The Shelf is a glute-training app for women. It builds a routine around your goal, schedule, and equipment, and keeps your progress photos private.
No branded system, no secret exercise. A few movements you repeat, make harder over time, and write down — the app just does the writing down for you.
A routine does not have to look impressive to be useful. It has to fit your schedule and equipment well enough that you can keep coming back to it.
No app can promise the same result to every body, so we never promise one. Where something depends on the person, the guides and the app say so.
Samantha wanted to train her glutes and asked Noah for a workout. He had worked part-time as a personal trainer before moving into web design and marketing, and a lot of the women he trained back then wanted the same thing, so he wrote her a glute-focused block in a spreadsheet. It worked. But a few months of opening the same spreadsheet later, Samantha was over it — there had to be a better way to log the work and see what was actually changing. That question turned into this website, and it is turning into an app next — one that builds the routine around your week and keeps the photos private. We are not a team of specialists, and there is no method here that nobody else knows about. Glute training is usually explained in a way that makes it feel harder than it is, and this is our attempt to explain it plainly.
Not a team of specialists — a husband-and-wife duo. One builds it, the other is the reason it exists.
Founder · Builds the app, writes the guides
Builds websites and markets businesses for a living, and worked part-time as a personal trainer before that. He is not a specialist and does not pretend to be — he wrote the original glute spreadsheet for Samantha, writes the guides here, and is building the app that replaces the spreadsheet.
The reason this exists
Asked Noah for a glute workout, then lived in that spreadsheet for months until she got tired of it and said there had to be a better way to see what was actually changing. That question is the reason any of this got built.
